"Not really family-friendly"
I brought my kids along and felt uncomfortable the whole time. There wasn’t much support or consideration for families, and it made the experience feel kind of awkward. It also left me questioning whether I’d trust them for a family visit again.

"Changing tickets was way too much work"
I tried to change my tickets after my plans shifted, and it turned into way more effort than it should’ve been. The website didn’t really explain things clearly, so I ended up digging around and trying to get a straight answer for ages.
After all that, I still couldn’t get a refund, and the exchange choices were super limited. It really felt like once they had my money, I was stuck doing all the hard work with no real help. Frustrating experience overall.

"The place just felt really grimy..."
The place just felt really grimy. The seats were sticky, the toilets smelled awful, and there was rubbish under our row the whole time. To make it worse, when I tried to raise it with staff, I got transferred around instead of anyone actually helping. Disappointing night overall.

"Just a heads up, security felt off"
I went to a show here recently, and I’ll be honest, I didn’t feel super comfortable by the end of the night. The exits weren’t really clear to me, the bag check seemed kind of inconsistent, and there were people hanging around near the doors that staff didn’t appear to be paying much attention to.

Maybe it was just an especially crowded night, but the whole security setup felt a little too relaxed for my liking. Just warning others to stay aware if you go — personally, I probably wouldn’t be in a hurry to come back.

"Booking tickets was more hassle than it should’ve been"
I tried booking tickets through sheffieldtheatres.co.uk and it was such a pain. The site kept freezing right when I got to payment, so I had to start the whole thing again twice. By then, the seats I’d picked had disappeared, which was really frustrating. I also couldn’t tell if the booking had actually gone through until much later. Just felt like an unnecessary hassle when all I wanted to do was book a show.

"Just felt really flat"
I went in thinking it would be a decent night out, but the whole place just felt kind of dull and cold, there wasn’t much energy in the room and the staff didn’t really make it feel any more welcoming either, so it ended up being awkwardly quiet in a way that made it hard to relax and enjoy myself. Maybe I just caught it on an off night, but the atmosphere really dragged everything down.

"Basic info was weirdly hard to find"
I was just trying to check show times and seating info, and honestly... it took way more effort than I expected. I kept clicking around thinking I’d find the prices or access details clearly laid out, but the pages felt kind of vague and not super helpful.

Maybe the info is on there somewhere, I don’t know, but it felt scattered enough that I gave up and searched somewhere else. For a theatre site, stuff like times, prices, and seating should be much easier to understand.

"I’m getting fed up with the programming..."
I’m getting fed up with the programming lately. Every time I check the listings, it feels like it’s the same kind of shows again and again, or stuff I’ve already watched before. There’s barely any variety, and I don’t really have the patience to keep scrolling through the usual safe choices hoping something interesting pops up. I used to look often, but now nothing really grabs me. It would be nice if they mixed things up a bit and added different types of shows for once.

The staff just didn’t come across as very helpful, if that makes sense. They were a bit rude and made the whole situation feel more awkward than it needed to be.

"Perks kept changing and didn’t feel worth it"
I signed up mainly for the supporter benefits, but it ended up feeling pointless. The discounts were way more limited than I expected, and the priority booking didn’t really make much difference. What annoyed me most was that the terms seemed to change after I joined, so the perks I thought I was getting weren’t as useful anymore. For the money, I expected a lot better.

"Pathetic queue system, honestly a joke"
Tried to book tickets and the whole queue setup was a complete shambles. It kept jumping around like it had no clue what it was doing, there was barely any useful info about wait time, and then, just as I was nearly at the front, it kicked me out. Brilliant. Had to go right back to the end like some idiot. Really stressful, really annoying, and the lack of obvious help was poor. Not good enough at all.

"Entry queue was all over the place"
We got there with plenty of time to spare, but the whole entry setup was a mess. It wasn’t obvious which queue was for what, and the signage didn’t really help, so everyone around us seemed just as confused.
The staff looked like they were trying, but people kept getting pointed in different directions and it just slowed everything down. Based on that, I’d guess this place probably struggles with crowd flow in general. We ended up rushing to our seats after standing around for ages, which wasn’t exactly the best way to start the evening.

"Nice staff, but accessibility could be better"
We had a bit of a tough time finding clear accessibility information before our visit, and once we got there, the facilities felt somewhat limited. The staff were friendly and helpful, which we appreciated, but getting around wasn’t as smooth as it should’ve been. Compared with some other places we’ve visited, the accessibility setup here just didn’t feel as well thought out.

"Cramped seats, poor view"
Not a great experience. Seats were so cramped. Really hard too. My knees were pushed into the chair in front the whole time. By the interval, I just wanted to get up and leave. The view wasn’t good either. Part of the stage was blocked from our seats. Felt like a waste of money, honestly. Paid for tickets and couldn’t even see properly.

"Used to Be Better"
This place used to be a lot better, honestly. We waited ages just to get our drinks, and when the food finally came out, it was cold. Disappointing compared to how it used to be.

"Audience behaviour really took away from the night"
Disappointing. We were really looking forward to the show, but the whole night was spoiled by people near us constantly talking and checking their phones. Annoying. It was obvious what was going on, but the staff didn’t seem to do much about it, even when it kept happening. For the price of the tickets, I expected better crowd control. Shame.

"Bit of a Nightmare to Get To"
Getting there was the worst part. If you’re not from the area, the location is awkward, parking is a hassle, and the buses back weren’t great either. I’d definitely plan ahead if you’re going

"Parking was... not great"
The parking situation was kind of a nightmare. We drove around for ages trying to find a spot and, yeah, we almost missed the start of the show because of it

"I really wanted to enjoy it…"
I really wanted to enjoy it, but the production quality just didn’t do it for me. The sound was uneven, and there were a few scenes where I could barely hear what was being said, which got annoying fast. Some of the lighting choices looked messy too, and that part was weird because it kept pulling me out of the show. The staging also felt a little flat in places. For the price of the ticket, I expected a lot better. Maybe it was just an off night, but I left disappointed and wouldn’t be in a hurry to go back.
